Your guests are the show
Thoughts, choices and memories from the people in the room. That is why it lands differently from an act that would be identical anywhere else.
Mind reading that is funny first, impossible second, and built around the people actually sitting in the room.
Mentalism is mind reading, prediction and influence. Done badly it is a man being mysterious at you for forty minutes. Done properly it is the funniest thing at the event, because the material is your own guests and nobody can see where it is going.
Thoughts, choices and memories from the people in the room. That is why it lands differently from an act that would be identical anywhere else.
I am a comedy performer who reads minds, not a solemn one. People laugh the whole way through and then go quiet at the end of a piece.
Nothing forces a guest to reveal anything private and nobody is made to look foolish. Volunteers come out of it looking good, which is why the next person puts their hand up.
On most bookings I will build a piece around something specific to you: the guest of honor, the company, the product, the reason everybody is in the room. It takes a conversation beforehand and it is usually the thing people describe to each other afterward.
That is the difference between hiring an act and hiring an act that turned up having done the homework.
Talk To Me About Your Event
A seated room after a meal is the ideal setting: everybody facing one direction, nobody in a hurry, and a bar that has been open long enough.
Something at the end of a day of sessions that is not another speaker. It works as a closing dinner set or an evening event.
An adult room celebrating one person is perfect, because the custom piece can be built around them by name.
Entertainment that holds a room without dragging the evening off schedule, and gives the committee something to point at next year.
“Carroll was an amazing entertainer. He kept everyone captivated by combining his magic and humor, with audience participation for an event we will always remember.”
